The latest redfin report says nearly 30 percent of its users want to move out of the city they’re in. It’s the highest percentage on record. People are leaving big cities like New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. And the most popular destinations are Sacramento, Austin, and Phoenix.

Ari Rastegar, the founder and CEO of an Austin-based commercial real estate investment company, says the trend is not new, but the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic has significantly accelerated it.
